Consumer Healthcare Inventory Management, Lead Director
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Lead Director, Consumer Healthcare Inventory Management will lead a team of 7 Senior Inventory Managers and Planners in: inventory planning, buying, expediting, and allocation across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of consumer healthcare categories. Generally, Ld. Directors have line accountability for a Business Unit (~10 Categories), including budgeting purchases and balance sheet stewardship (inventory cost). The Ld. Director is responsible for executing plans that achieve business goals including: sales, margin, service levels, inventory turns, GMROII, purchase order fill rates, and customer / colleague satisfaction. Finally, this role with partner closely with category management counterparts and external partners to drive growth and improve business outcomes.
Required Qualifications5+ years of relevant experience part of experience must be in either Retail/CPG, Management Consulting or Strategy/Analytics function – with strong preference towards inventory management and secondarily, supply chain, broadly.
Preferred QualificationsRetail/CPG experience and/or experience analyzing large supply chain / transactional data sets preferredMastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointJDA (Blue Yonder) forecasting and replenishment preferredMerchandising familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising processesExperience using technical tools such as Tableau, SQL Assistant, VBA, Python, SAP, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Teradata, Oracle and others a plusMasters Degree in Supply Chain or MBASupply Chain Certification in asset- RSSC, CSCMP or APICS a plus; Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and/or other quantitative analytical degree a plus
EducationBachelors degree or equivalent experience
