Director of Accounting

Position Overview: The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounting operation. They will be in charge of the accuracy of financial records, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain financial accounting systems, processes, and controlsManage 4 accoutning clerksOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flowPrepare accurate financial statements and reportsPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMonitor and reconcile bank accountsPerform cash flow analysis and forecastingManage working capital and fixed assetsEnsure accuracy and completeness of month/year-end close process

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA certification a plusMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar roleProficient understanding of accounting principles and proceduresStrong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivableExperience with Microsoft Dynamics
