SSHO/Superintendent--EM 385-1-1 cert required

Position Overview: The Superintendent/SSHO is responsible for field operations on the assigned project(s) in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. Federal construction projects will include new construction and renovations.

Key Responsibilities: Tasks may include (but are not limited to)

Reviewing and approving all subcontractor safety plansInspecting the site to ensure it is a hazard-free work environmentArranging for OSHA mandated evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultantsVerifying that injury logs and reports are completedDeveloping and maintaining site logistics plan in coordination with Project ManagerMaintaining good relationships with internal and external clientsConducting quality inspectionsPresiding over weekly subcontractor meetingsCommunicating with the project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and Material SubmittalsEnsuring subcontractor compliance with contracted scope of workPerforming safety audits and documenting concerns in order to enforce safety and QC plansConducting job site walks daily to monitor progress and assist in future planningIdentifying and escalating concerns that would impact project timeline and/or budgetMaintaining daily logs and photographs of jobsite activities utilizing appropriate software

Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant SSHO/Superintendent experience and

EM 385-1-1 40 hour cert REQUIREDOSHA 30Proficiency with RMS 3.0 is a PLUSCQM is a PLUSWillingness to travel domesticallyPrior experience with vertical commercial construction projectsPrior experience with federal construction projectsPrior experience with elevator modernization and/or hospital projects is a PLUSAssociates Degree or higher PREFERRED. Degree requirement can be waived with relevant certs and experience.
