Utility Operator II

What you’ll do

The Utility Operator will operate and maintain existing equipment and systems pertaining to site utilities such as well water, soft water, boilers and their operating systems, fire suppression water system, air compressors. This position will also participate in the implementation of new equipment and their systems as they come online. Duties will include, but not be limited to:Operating of utility equipment using SOP’sParticipate in the implementation of new incoming equipment, including participating in the development of SOP’sMaintain quality of products produced according to set standardsParticipate in continuous improvement activitiesFollow good housekeeping activities, including 5S principlesPerform operator level maintenance activities, including some preventative maintenance workUtilize the sites maintenance management systemMentor and train new team membersFollow company safety policies including PPE usage, lock out, permit to work, etc.Work with staff for troubleshooting and continuous improvementWork with other departments to ensure timely delivery of quality utilitiesCross train in other areas/departments as needed

Who you areHigh school diploma or GED.Three years’ experience in similar role or chemical manufacturing, or 5 years manufacturing experience.Ability to work in a team atmosphere.Basic computer skills.Self-starter.
