The Purpose

The Paint Lead position oversees all phases of paint projects and paint prep personnel. They help schedule and execute all paint projects in the building and coordinate all activities to ensure resources are on hand to meet deadlines efficiently. The position is 100% facility-based. This position reports directly to and coordinates with the Production Manager.

The Job

Excellent communication skills. Ability to lead and maintain respect for the paint team. Ability to train, coach, and motivate painting personnel in their roles. Aptitude to be able to utilize electronic communication (email) and production software tools (i.e. Smart Sheet & COMS). Communicate regularly with the Production Manager regarding problems or issues impacting project deadlines. Help coordinate the paint-related materials needed and material tracking against projects. Provide input in developing workflow “best practices” and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality. Automotive quality level painting abilities. Can perform auto body work. Experience in finishes such as Spray Chrome, Polyurethane, Automotive paints, and Rhino Liner.

A “whatever it takes” mentality. Reliable transportation to work. Ability to complete work at a timely pace. Ability to prioritize work. Ability to work effectively under pressure in both team settings and individually. Strong knowledge of construction and fabrication details. Ability to read fabrication details & drawings. Valid driver’s license. Fluency in English.

Denver Salary and Benefit Statement

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Denver if selected for the role. Any salary offered is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience.

Denver Salary Range: $28- $32 per hour

This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan.
