Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Paralegal at Daigle Law Group. The Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks. The paralegal will assist attorneys and consultants in all facets of case preparation and file management from the commencement of a case through resolution. This will involve projects that will cover legal and operational subject matter. The role will include legal research, preparation of summaries, and written analysis to support DLG's operations. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Case Preparation and Management: Assist attorneys and consultants in projects and investigations. Manage case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis, and help interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for specific cases.Document Drafting: Prepare legal documents such as summary memos, contracts, briefs, pleadings, and reports under the supervision of an attorney.Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information, relay case updates, and prepare them for court appearances.Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing reference files.Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations. Prepare reports and correspondence as required.

Skills and Qualifications:Educational Background: An associate’s degree in paralegal studies with a bachelor’s degree is preferred.Certification: Paralegal certification (e.g., Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) or Certified Paralegal (CP)) is advantageous.Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a paralegal role, preferably in a similar legal setting.Technical Skills: Proficient with legal databases, e-discovery, and office software.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
