The process technician will work directly with the shift supervisor with a focus on quality process controls. The supervisor should depend on this person to ensure that parameters, paperwork, and other quality related details are being followed.
Responsibilities
Audit paperwork throughout shift to ensure it is being filled out thoroughly and properlyMake sure paperwork is scanned in to shared driveVerify that parameters are entered correctly, and document any changes during productionWork directly with Process engineers to gather data for tests and quality improvementsReview SOP’s with Process engineers and Process managers for accuracyEnsure adherence to Standard Operating ProceduresIdentify and report quality defects during production as well as with finished goods, and assist in reducing those defectsMonitor the production process and report any discrepancies to Supervisors and Process EngineersHelp troubleshoot process-related issues, identify root causes, and help implement corrective actionsWork with team members to maintain a clean and safe production areaEnsure all personnel adhere to safety standardsUse tools such as Power BI and Historian to look at production and quality dataParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiativesLook at hot shots in QC and troubleshoot quality issues that may arriveEnsure start up checklists are done properly before a new production run startsCreate and perform line inspections for position to audit machinesHelp supervisor cover breaks on the line if necessaryHelp communicate and set up from one shift to the other
