Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Shift Manager II to join our MFG TEAM!. As the Shift Manager II, we need someone to plan and oversee production, manage shift supervisors and assure adherence to operating standards.
Primary Objective
Plans, organizes, and manages production operations on a shift.
Major Function And Scope
Plans and oversees work to meet production and quality requirements while making effective use of labor, material, and equipment.Manages shift supervisors to maintain production within compliance.Assures adherence to operating standards, assists in coordination of production schedules and budget planning.Conducts training on new procedures and oversees new hire training.Evaluates selection of new associates in hiring process.Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.Coaches and reviews performance of direct reports.Performs other duties as required
Education And Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or another relatable field or equivalent experience in a manufacturing industry, preferred.Requires knowledge of safety policy and procedures.Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing and ISO quality standards, preferred.Ability to read/write English.Basic computer skills.
Experience
5 years in a production manufacturing environment.3 years experience supervisory experience.
Competencies
Strong communication and listening skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills and ability to analyze, plan and schedule.
