📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Community Programs Manager40 Hours per weekMonday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every other Saturday from 10 a.m to 3 p
Pay RateAnnual salary based upon experience at a range of $37,000-$42,000
Paid Time Off Ten (10) days plus county holidays Five (5) sick days, which can be rolled over into the following year, capped at ten (10) days
Supervisor Executive Director
Duties and Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors Assist callersSupervise meet and greets with potential adopters and dogsPrepare adoption foldersComplete the adoption process outlined in the DBCHS policy Manage Home-Home, a rehoming service Schedule posts on social media as directedTake and post adoptable pet photos to ShelterLuv and Facebook; take and post pictures of adoptions to FacebookSchedule appointments, track expenditures, and prepare invoices for the Bluegrass Area Development District community cat grantRead and respond to the Lostpet40422 email; post lost pets on Facebook pagesAssist with fundraising/community outreach eventsCommunicate with and coordinate fosters Assist with volunteer program Work with rescue organizations and other humane societies to place animals as neededOther duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Qualifications and RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDComputer skills and expertise with Google WorkforceComfortable with primary animal care and previously trained in feline and canine vaccinations, or a willingness to be trained Excellent customer service skillsAbility to perform specific tasks such as lifting, standing, or extreme temperaturesAbility to safely handle cats and dogs of all ages and sizesReliable transportation
