📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Role: Platform engineerLocation: Charlotte, NC/ Tampa, FLFull time roleexperience: 9+yrs
Key Responsibilities:· Experience in both VM-based and container-based deployments and setup of common infrastructure platforms.· Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines in a Kubernetes environment.· Direct and review the configuration and execution of Terraform Ansible automation pipelines.· Utilize Docker images, networking, and security best practices.· Serve as a key resource to production control teams for monitoring, failover, and logging activities.· Elicit requirements for application deployment and manage workload sizing.· Monitor application performance using Splunk cloud and collaborate with product teams for tuning.· Collaborate with integration/performance testing teams for integrated release testing in Integration/Release Acceptance environments.· Provide guidance to systems engineering and DevOps professionals for building high-performance environments.· Implement infrastructure failover scenarios and perform application deployments in VM and container-based environments.
Requirements: · Experience in DevOps, systems engineering, Hadoop Admin or related field.· Expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Helm and Docker.· Strong experience with AWS cloud services.· Proficiency in Microservice architecture and container orchestration platforms, preferably AWS EKS.· Knowledge of Splunk, Grafana , Prometheus or similar monitoring tools.· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
