Controls Planner SpecialistOnsiteAbout the JobDuration: Long-term renewable contractLocation: Greer, SCPay rate: HourlyJob ID: 4882This is a Full Time W2 position, no subcontracting or C2C.Overview: DataSoft is seeking a Controls Planner Specialist who will manage project planning, installation, start-up, and acceptance, as well as provide engineering support for new installations and optimization measures. The individual will collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers to plan and implement measures, ensuring optimal solutions in terms of cost, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and the environment. You will also be responsible for cost estimation, technical specifications, and coordinating the bidding process.Responsibilities:Define standards and best practices for controls technology in assemblyEvaluate concepts and drive necessary changes according to company standardsPlan and implement measures in collaboration with internal customers and external suppliersDetermine optimal solutions considering cost, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation, and the environmentProvide cost estimation and technical specificationsCoordinate the bidding process and evaluate offersPlan and execute high-complexity projectsCollaborate with vendors, customers, and management teamsDevelop and implement equipment countermeasures to improve reliabilityEnsure equipment controls design achieves 98% uptimeEnsure assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effectiveEnsure assigned projects are on schedule and within budgetAdhere to VPS principles, standard work, and problem-solving conceptsAdhere to 5S and safety standardsQualifications: BA/BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or IndustrialEngineering preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.5+ years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive manufacturing).3+ years of experience of managing projects including experience with structural modification measures in several equipment and/or controls planning projects.3+ years experience in assembly, controls and equipment (PLC Alan Bradley & Siemens S7; E-Plan).3+ years problem investigation & data analysis experience.3+ years long and short-term project management experience (continuous improvement, process analysis, controls planning).2+ years cross functional communication experience.1+ years experience using Microsoft office applications.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Ability to use and apply statistical methods to aid with process.About our CompanyDataSoft Technologies is a highly recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US.
