Senior UI/UX Designer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
DataStaff is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in the Raleigh, NC area.
- This position is hybrid*Some local travel may be required
Responsibilities:Improve the applications into user-friendly products for our clientsGather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners and engineers.Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.Build page navigation buttons and search fields.Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables).Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
Required Skills:7 Years - Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role7 Years - Proven experience working on a variety of design projects involving web based applications5 Years - Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)5 Years - Up-to-date knowledge and hands on working experience of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop7 Years - Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency; independently identify options.7 Years - Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.
Desired Skills: 7 Years - Business knowledge and experience implementing SNAP and other federal programs as per the policy requirements.5 Years - Experience designing applications using the social services products4 Years - Experience designing and/or developing dashboards using Power BI3 Years - Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development2 Years - Experience designing applications using low code no code technologies like Salesforce, Microsoft dynamics and others.2 Years - Knowledgeable in DevOps practices and Shift Left testing
This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
