As a nonprofit organization with an annual budget of approximately $3 million, the Davis Phinney Foundation relies on private, philanthropic funding to make a difference in the lives of individuals affected by Parkinson’s.

Location: Louisville, CO (Required to work in office 2-3 days per week)Hours of Work: 40 hr/wkReports to: Director of Community Engagement

About the Position

The Program Associate – Community Engagement supports participants in our community engagement programs including our Ambassador Leadership Program, Pedaling for Parkinson’s program, and Healthy Parkinson’s Communities Network. This role is a primary contact for program participants, helping to monitor and respond to email and phone communications, fulfill requests, support data maintenance, and more. The Program Associate plays an integral role in the experience of participants and supports engagement and outreach strategies across our programs.

Day to day, this role supports our programs in the following ways…In collaboration with other Community Engagement staff, monitor and respond to email and phone communications from program participants and community membersProvide basic technical support to program participants on how to use various platforms for training and communicationMaintain key participant data using various software platformsSend invitations, reminders, and follow-up communications related to participant meetings and help manage recordings or other content generated in the meetingContribute to relationship building and outreach to support program and department goalsFulfill collateral shipping requests from program participantsSupport program evaluation by distributing surveys and conducting other assessments within assigned program Support the interpretation of data and feedback toward program improvements

General ResponsibilitiesSupport and build the Foundation’s reputation as a leading resource for living well tools Support the development and innovation of the Foundation’s community partnershipsSupport Foundation’s Diversity & Inclusion initiative through thoughtful outreach, practices of cultural humility, and the inclusion of diverse leaders Assist in other activities on the behalf of the Foundation

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following: 1 or more years relevant experience in volunteer program coordination, program execution, education, and/or other related activity Positive, outgoing personality, and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in a respectful and empowering wayDetail oriented and highly responsiveHigh emotional intelligence and ability to listen, interpret, and respond to information from othersStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience in Office 365 applications preferredExperience in data management preferred

Compensation

This is an hourly position starting at $17-$20/hr commensurate with background and experience, plus paid vacation, sick time, retirement, and health insurance benefits.
