PCT At a Glance
Paid Training: Full Time 10 to 12 week, Monday through Saturday program to include 4 days (3 floor days and 1 theory day).Full Time: Base of 3 to 4 work days rotating at 10 to 12 hour shifts, to be a minimum of 30 hours a week.Rotation: Monday through Saturday (may flex), with Sunday's based on holidays. Schedule to be provided a month in advance.Schedule: Starting and ending times can range from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm with opening, mid and closing shifts.Hands On Care: Monitor, educate and provide care for up to 4 patients before, during and after dialysis treatment. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.Relationships: Support your community and build relationships by caring for patients local to your town.
What does a successful PCT look like?
High School Diploma (HSD) or GEDComfortable working around blood and needles, mixing acid or bicarbDesire to enter the healthcare field to care for other people in needFlexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededAbility to work in a fast paced setting as part of a team while managing multiple responsibilities at a timeHealthcare experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
