Who You Are
Master’s or PhD or Equivalent Experience; Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology degree or relevant experience is applicable.Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research.Experience with remote usability testing tools and methodologies.Expert in the following methodologies: survey development, psychometric development, experimentation, hypothesis testing, key driver analysis.Expertise in statistics, power user of R, Python, and/or SQL.Has a strong understanding of user-centered design, research design, statistical analysis, and research reporting. Able to connect the dots between multiple methodologies and disciplines.Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.Experience in the startup ecosystem and consulting industry is a plus.
What You'll Do
As a Principal UX Researcher at Dawnstar, you will lead our research efforts to uncover actionable insights that drive product development and user experience enhancements. You will be pivotal in shaping the UX culture and will work closely with design and engineering partners to ensure our products meet the high expectations of our partners.
You'll be responsible to:
Lead comprehensive UX research studies, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.Develop research strategies provide deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations.Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate research findings into actionable product strategies and design decisions.Generate insights that both fuel ideation and design strategy.Present complex research findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders.Mentor junior researchers and promote a culture of innovation and user-centered design principles throughout the organization.Stay tuned to industry trends and emerging tools and methods in UX research.Ability to work independently and autonomously.
