Responsibilities of a Structural Project Engineer:Perform and coordinate the structural design of assigned projects under the supervision of the Project ManagerCollaborate with BIM Designers to produce structural construction documents and draft details in REVITAssist Project Managers with Construction Support, including shop drawing review and answering RFIsBe attentive to details and provide accurate construction documentsProgressively grow your technical knowledge through both internal project experience and continuing educationThis is an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual to work for an energetic firm on a wide range of projects.
Requirements for a Structural Engineer Must reside or be willing to relocate to the NYC area.Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university, preferredMaster's degree preferredPossess a state-issued Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate0-4 years of structural engineering experience, as it relates to building designSolid command of statics. familiarity with steel and concrete design. Bonus for experience using wood and masonry design.Experience designing all categories of gravity framing and wind/seismic resisting systemsBasic knowledge of design/build codes, such as the NYC Building Code, AISC, ACI 318, and ASCE 7Working knowledge of structural analysis software, such as RISA Floor/3D, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, etc.Ability to manage your time, juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyDesire to provide excellent service and build client relationshipsMaintain a positive attitude and willingness to learnEffective oral and written communication skills
