Role DescriptionThis is a 0-hour contract remote role for a Linguist/Editor. The Linguist/Editor will be responsible for various tasks associated with transforming text into audio content using AI. They will ensure that the audio content reflects the desired emotions, intonation, and rhythm of the natural voice. This role requires strong attention to detail, language proficiency, and a creative mindset.
ResponsibilitiesUsing our Internal Phonetic Alphabet to create and edit phonetic transcriptionsEditing AI audio pronunciation to a professional standard using our internal production Studio.Formatting manuscripts to internal specificationsMaking audiobook corrections using client feedback through our Publisher PortalCommunicating with the Production Manager the status of your projects throughout the production process
QualificationsStrong command of language and excellent editing skillsExperience in linguistics, language teaching, or a related fieldKnowledge of phonetics and a good ear for pronunciationAttention to detail and excellent time management skillsExperience with editing softwareAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesStrong communication and collaboration skillsDegree in Linguistics, Literature, Communication, or a related field
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)Experience in linguistics, language teaching, or a related fieldPassion for audio content creation and storytellingProficiency in another language (i.e. Spanish, French, German, etc.)
