Primary ResponsibilitiesManage and develop sponsor relationships to originate deal flowScreen and identify attractive transaction opportunities to pursueManage internal investment approval process, including oversight and presentation of analyses and materials to the firm’s investment committeeDevelop transaction structure and negotiate deal terms with sponsor and borrowerSpearhead due diligence process, including external diligence meetings and callsLead legal documentation review and negotiationMonitor existing credits, including attending Board meetings as an observer

Desired Skills & Experience10+ years of overall experience with 6-10+ years of experience at a buy-side credit / direct lending fund, leverage finance or debt capital markets at an investment bank. Relevant sponsor coverage is a positive.Considerable deal execution experience with proven ability to drive deal processGood communicator, with ability to interface with sponsors and management teams, and spearhead negotiationsStrong academic record, including a bachelor’s degreeExcellent financial modeling skillsAbility to work independentlyWillingness to travelPreference given to candidates in Boston, Chicago and South Florida and open to other locations NO RECRUITERS or AGENCIES for this posting.
