Delve Search is partnered with an innovative genomics business in California performing complete sequencing to drive advances in the precision medicine molecular diagnostics arena! We are looking for a driven Scientist with a background in NGS sequencing and molecular assay development based in the SF Bay Area, CA.
As a Scientist (NGS) in the Department of Product Development, you will take a role in designing, developing, and optimizing NGS library prep workflows for our sequencing platform. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot technical challenges, conduct experiments, and drive innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGDeveloping Innovative NGS Workflows: Lead the development of novel NGS library preparation and sequencing workflows. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping the future of genomics research.Troubleshooting NGS Challenges: Utilize your troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve complex issues that may arise during NGS workflows. This involves designing and conducting experiments to understand the underlying reaction mechanisms, causality, failure modes, and opportunities for workflow optimization.
WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE LOOKS LIKE2+ years’ experience post Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. Industry experience, along with bioinformatics knowledge and certification is a plus (see below).6+ years' post master degree OR 10+ years' post bachelor degree.
