Dewberry Design-Builders Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Senior Project Manager to manage medium and large balance of plant and/or wastewater infrastructure projects for private/ commercial clients. The position will be responsible for business development, and for managing design, design-build and construction projects. Responsibilities include business strategy, maintaining and expanding existing client relationships, managing internal and external construction resources that deliver projects from inception through construction. The Sr. PM will lead or assist on the development of pursuit strategy, estimating and execution planning for projects.

Responsibilities

With support from the enterprise, the successful candidate will be responsible for client satisfaction, project delivery, technical quality, and achieving the financial performance associated with each design-build project.

Required Skills & Required Experience

Manage a variety of balance of plant and/or wastewater infrastructure projects for commercial and potentially public clients. 15+ years of experience managing complex balance of plant projects for industrial facilities or similar. Ideally, experience on mechanical and electrical systems, and/or pretreatment/process wastewater facilities. A strong commitment to safety, quality assurance / quality control and risk management. Manage planning, design, and construction phase projects while interfacing and coordinating with other project managers, engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists. Contribute to the continued growth of our work with industrial clients including performing business development and client management activities. This will include leading or assisting in proposal preparation and client interaction. Develop statement of qualifications, detailed proposals and contracts to include project understanding, scope of work, pricing, schedule, and other terms and conditions; and follow through with development/implementation of a project execution plan Effectively understand and communicate project expectations to project team and client. Provide technical assistance and mentoring of junior staff. Strong subcontractor management skills including the selection process, pricing and management of subcontracts for construction projects Experience coordinating projects from planning, engineering through construction, commissioning and start-up while interfacing with clients, internal teams, vendors and subcontractors responsible for each division of work. Experience interfacing with clients and strong client retention and relationship management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel about 30 – 40% of your time is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil or environmental engineering is preferred.
