SUMMARY:Dexian is seeking a talented Director of Accounting, Federal to work closely with the Corporate Controller and oversee the entire process of billing and collecting payments from the company’s government customers, including rate maintenance and management. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional to lead the U.S. Government regulatory compliance activities for the business, all the while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and efficiency throughout our customer lifecycle. The director will report to Dexian’s CFO and work closely with the company's Corporate Controller and finance leader.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate and execute a comprehensive U.S. Government compliance plan to ensure continued contractual compliance with all relevant federal provisions including, but not limited to, the FAR, DFARS, CAS and other agency supplements as required and other ad hoc projects as neededOversee development/monitoring, submission and publishing of all Rates, Forward Pricing, Incurred Costs ensuring the process is documented and rates are approved by the executive leadership team, and interim adjustments as neededNeed to have billing and record keeping experience.A nice to have would be in pricing (chasing new contracts) support.Work with the team in human resources, payroll and contract managers to standardize labor codes within payroll and human resource systemsInternal Controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts, supporting timely delivery of CDRL’s and financial reportsDevelop and manage organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy within contractual terms, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Defense Contract Audit Agency requirementsWork with Program Managers to track, review, analyze, and manage contract data including period of performance, contract ceiling, contract obligations, etc.Oversee liaison support to all Internal/External Audit, top level Primes, DCAA and DCMA for all government financial audits and reviews conductedProvide necessary Government compliance training related to FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate should have:Significant and proven work experience with Government billing and collections is requiredPosition doesn’t require security clearance. Significant experience with Internal/External Governmental AuditsExperience with Wide Area Workflow for electronic invoicing, receipt and acceptanceVast and advanced-level experience with accounting softwareFamiliarity with advanced formulas in MS ExcelExcellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reportsSolid understanding of the FAR/DFARS/CASManagement and leadership experience is highly preferredDemonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team-oriented, and matrixed environmentDesire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environmentPassion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environmentProficient in MS OfficeAbility to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 10%
