Basic Purpose And Objective Of The Position

The AP Analyst is responsible for activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization. The individual analyzes invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment and ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and control reports and for contributing to the development of processes and procedures.

Oversee proper handling and coding of invoicesEnsure all invoices have appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentReconcile account statements with vendorsEnsure timely payment to vendorsAssist in streamline accounts payable processReview and determine the appropriate general ledger account codingEnsure past due balances are researched and resolvedEnsure all outstanding checks are researched and reconciled on a monthly basisCommunicate important accounts payable issues with the ControllerAssist in interpreting and implementing the company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned.

Targeted Annual Salary - $60,000-$65,000

Qualifications

Education and Experience

2 to 3 years in general accounting and accounts payable required.Bachelor's degree in related area (accounting, finance) preferred.
