We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.Job Description: As an Estimator focused on commercial and multi-family projects, you will play a key role in our pre-construction process, providing accurate cost estimates and project evaluations. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project specifications and blueprints, assess material and labor costs, and collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive project bids. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are competitively priced while meeting quality standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities:Review project drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.Utilize Planswift software to perform digital takeoffs and generate accurate quantity surveys.Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.Prepare and present comprehensive project bids to management for review and approval.Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather relevant project information.Evaluate and recommend value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitiveness.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial or multi-family construction projects.Proficiency in Planswift software for digital takeoff and estimating.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.Commitment to upholding safety standards and best practices.
