Position Overview: As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple mechanical engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors, to drive project execution and meet project objectives.Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Monitor project progress and performance metrics, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization.Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing their concerns and requirements in a timely and professional manner.Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to secure necessary materials and services for project execution.Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare comprehensive project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Proven experience in mechanical engineering project management, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, including design, analysis, and installation.Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are preferred.Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the Boston Area.Experience working in construction, architecture, or engineering consulting firms is a plus.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
