We are looking for a passionate and driven Permanent Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving complex problems, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a high level of commitment, as it involves 50% national travel.
Responsibilities
Provide on-site installation of complex equipment, perform system set-up, and conduct thorough testing to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on CNC machines and laser systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Program and operate Allen Bradley PLCs and vision systems. Use CAD/CAM software to design and implement solutions. Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment. Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve product design and functionality. Maintain detailed service reports and documentation for all service activities. Ensure all safety and quality standards are met at all times.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry. Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong understanding of CNC machines and laser systems. Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software. Proficiency in programming and operating Allen Bradley PLCs and vision systems. Experience in reading and interpreting electrical schematics. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel nationally for 50% of the time. Commitment to adhering to all safety and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must hold a valid driver's license.
