We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on Transportation to join our growing team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting transportation projects, from conceptual design through construction. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead project teams, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in shaping the future of our transportation infrastructure.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Civil Engineer - Transportation, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the design and development of transportation projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Utilizing Civil 3D software for the design and analysis of transportation projects. Coordinating with MassDOT and other regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Managing project resources and schedules, and providing regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders. Reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior engineers and technical staff. Participating in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client meetings.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Senior Civil Engineer - Transportation position, you should have the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's Degree would be considered an advantage. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and management of transportation projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software. Experience working with MassDOT and a solid understanding of transportation regulations and standards. Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and interact effectively with clients and stakeholders. Self-motivated with a strong desire to continue learning and developing professionally.
