Job Title: Vice President, Accounting Operations
Location: Reston, VA
About This Role
Responsible for accurately recording financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensures financial commitments and contractual obligations are recorded and paid in a timely and efficient manner. Oversees international accounting operations and directs completion of local statutory reporting and audits. Provides monthly internal management reporting, maintains financial transactions by departmental designations to support the budget reporting process, provides support to the SEC reporting process and provides detailed schedules in support of the Internal and External Audit process.

Responsible for the maintenance of general ledgersPreparation of financial statementsPerforming and/or supervising account analyses and reconciliationsDevising internal reports useful to the accounting department and other departmentsMaintaining SOX complianceIssuing internal statements and reports on a timely basisMeeting all external reporting requirements and deadlinesSupervision of staff involved in payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, general accounting, and international accountingDirect the completion of statutory reporting and auditsDirects the work of Accounting teams; sets project deadlines, delegates responsibilities; allocates resources and monitors progress toward successful completionEnsures that effective SOX controls are in place and are followedDevelops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies that meet audit standards and improve efficiency of the accounting functionManages auditing process and relationship with external auditorsSelects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function; attracts, engages, grows and retains key talent; builds capability in others by training, mentoring, coaching, and creating opportunities for growth and learning; develops growth and succession plans
What You'll Need:
B.A./B.S. in Accounting10+ years of relevant experience, CPA strongly preferredExperience with international accounting operationsdetail-orientedexcellent communication, interpersonal, and oral/written presentation skillsability to manage staff and lead projects/teams independentlyCompensation: $200,000 - $210,000 base plus incentives, commensurate with experience.
