Our client, a global pharmaceutical company located in the Northern suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a Communications Specialist. This person will be housed in the IT department of the organization and will be focusing on a project related to change management. They are building out a change management platform for new rollouts. The materials will consist of various communication materials and presentations materials to support this effort. The plans are already built along with existing strategies, but this person will be building out the content and writing communication to leadership teams, individual contributors, as well as raise awareness about projects to the stakeholders.Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Communication PlansCollaborate with project teams to define the communication objectives and target audience for each project.Develop comprehensive communication plans that include key messages, channels, and timelines.Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and approval of communication plans.Implement communication strategies through various channels such as email, social media, press releases, and presentations.Write and Edit Content for a variety of communication materials including press releases, blog posts, website content and email newslettersEdit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and readabilityConduct Interviews with project stakeholders to gather insights/success storiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholdersMust haves:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.3-5 years working in a Communications role with focus on planning and executing communication plansProven experience in developing and executing effective communication strategies with a focus on Organizational Change Management.Stakeholder management experience- the ability to engage with different levels in an organization and communicate effectively, clearly and professionallyPortfolio with examples of communications: emails/newsletters/PowerPoint decks that you have put together supporting communication plans (subjects can vary)Proficiency in using various communication tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
