📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Global Client Group leads Dimensional’s efforts to acquire long-term client relationships and increase the firm’s reach in the marketplace. Team members work closely with both institutions and financial advisors to offer focused, specialized support and ensure the delivery of a consistently impeccable client experience. Everyone is empowered to offer up and execute on innovative ways to produce results.
Our Consultant channel is responsible for working with the Investment Consultant community across the globe and partnering with the rest of our sales teams. Reporting to the Global Head of Consultant Relations, the Regional Director will develop and expand relationships with key decision makers at the North American offices of the assigned investment consulting firms. The individual will work closely with Dimensional’s Global Consultant Relations team, Institutional Sales, Research, Portfolio Management and Trading teams to help win and retain institutional client business.
Responsibilities:Develop, coordinate and implement business development plans for the institutional consultant communityIncrease breadth and depth of relevant buy ratings across investment platformEstablish and develop relationships with manager researchers and field consultants who are key influencersPartner with colleagues responsible for developing institutional business outside of North America as neededProvide constructive feedback on strategies and trends to the executive, sales and investment management teamsLead complex technical investment discussions with a sophisticated audienceHave a strong voice with regards to positioning, communications and customized solutionsAct as an intellectual contributor and a trusted advisor to the consultant communityMentor and guide less experienced team members
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or CFA strongly preferredAt least 7 to 10 years of investment experience, ideally gained from working at an institutional asset manager or a consulting firm; DC experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key selling points in a clear and compelling mannerAbility to work independently, to prioritize and exercise time managementComputer and analytical expertiseA strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standardsDemonstration of initiative, accountability and focus on qualityCommitment to the philosophy and process underlying Dimensional’s investment approachPractical knowledge of the institutional investment businessHighly motivated to significantly increase depth and breadth of consultant relationshipsA proven track record and history of successSeries 7 and 63/66 licensed; ability to successfully pass the Series 7 within the first 120 days of employment in order to interact with clients, followed by the Series 63/66
