We are seeking an experienced Director of Events to join our team to lead the planning,coordinating, and execution of a variety of events, both in-person and online. The Director ofEvents will be responsible for all aspects of event management, including venue research andprocurement, contract negotiation, budget management, content development, speakercoordination, marketing and promotions and post-event reconciliation. The ideal candidate willhave previous event experience in the direct selling channel, exceptional organizational skills,attention to detail, high level of resourcefulness and the ability to manage multiple eventssimultaneously while working directly with the CEO, creative, marketing and social teammembers and the Events Registration Associate.

Key Responsibilities:Event Coordination and Planning:● Coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, AV, scheduling and vendormanagement.● Conduct thorough venue and hotel research for each event, considering factorssuch as location, capacity and amenities.● Source and identify AV company/resources, create RFPs, review estimates andcontracts. Serve as the main liaison with the AV company and contractors toexecute successful events.● Procure and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal terms and pricing.● Develop comprehensive event plans and timelines to ensure successfulexecution.● Identify software, platforms and tech tools to help streamline execution andefficiencies.Speaker Management:● Drive content development by supporting the CEO with inviting speakers,coordinating and managing communications and tracking speaker participation.● Conduct calls, follow-ups and ensure speakers are adequately prepared for theirpresentations.● Create and update detailed show flows to ensure a smooth event, content flowand timely transitions.● Communicate updates to the schedule and details to everyone involved includingthe internal team, external AV company and contractors, etc.Marketing and Promotions:● Develop a marketing and promotions schedule for each event, including emailcampaigns, social media and text promotions and other advertising initiatives.Maintain and communicate updates as necessary.● Provide direction to the creative and copywriting team to develop marketingassets and communications.● Determine and manage list of collateral and assets needed for each event,including promotional and sales materials and event signage.● Determine and identify external printer sources and price comparisons alignedwith the budget.● Provide weekly reports and updates on all marketing and promotion activity.● Monitor and analyze marketing efforts to optimize engagement and attendance.Budget and Expense Management:● Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are within approvedlimits.● Responsible for F&B planning and expense management. Presenting options forinternal approval.● Monitor expenses throughout the planning and execution process, makingadjustments as necessary to stay within budget.● Conduct post-event reconciliation, including evaluating event success andidentifying areas for improvement.Event Execution:● Oversee the successful execution of all events, ensuring a high level of attendeesatisfaction.● Manage on-site logistics, serve as the main POC with venue and hotel staffleading all communications and interactions, troubleshoot any issues that ariseand ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.● Conduct post-event reconciliation, including evaluating event success andidentifying areas for improvement.Event Scope:● Plan and execute 4 in-person events annually, with registrant numbers ranging from 300to 700 per event. Events will include 3 within the US and 1 international event.● Coordinate 6 online (webinar) events per year, with registrant numbers ranging from 30to 100+ per webinar.● Organize 6 to 8 invitation-only executive dinners annually, with under 50 registrants perdinner.Qualifications:● Proven experience in event management with a track record of successfully planningand executing events of varying sizes and formats in the direct selling channel.● Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract review and vendor management.● Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask andprioritize effectively.● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with internal teams, vendors and external stakeholders.● Proficiency in event management software, technology and tools.● Willingness to travel for on-site event management as needed.
