Autocad Technician

We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator with specialized experience in drawings permitting and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD), particularly in creating detailed drawings for permitting processes related to construction and development projects, with a focus on EV charging installations and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:• Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for permitting processes.• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings.• Create technical drawings and schematics for EV charging station installations and related electrical infrastructure.• Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including permitting agencies and utility companies, to obtain necessary approvals and permits.• Maintain accurate records and documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.• Assist in the development and improvement of CAD standards and processes within the organization.• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in EV technology and charging infrastructure design.

Qualifications and Skills:• Proven experience working as a CAD Operator or similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, or electrical industries.• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) with advanced skills in creating detailed technical drawings and layouts.• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes, particularly related to electrical installations.• Specific experience in designing EV charging stations and associated electrical systems is highly desirable.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings under tight deadlines.• Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing design challenges.• A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.Additional Requirements:• Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building initiatives related to EV infrastructure is a plus.• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software would be advantageous.
