Job Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Work with internal teams such as accounting, finance, manufacturing and distribution to develop reports useful in understanding freight costs and patterns Respond to carrier inquiries about operational issues and find long-term solutions Assist internal teams with shipping and logistics processes Develop reporting to ensure Dish employees are adhering to business rules regarding shipping Analyze transportation data to look for opportunities to improve processes and recommend best practices Participate in quarterly business reviews with our freight payment vendor and transportation partners as necessary Assist internal teams with other tasks as needed which may include data entry, reporting and analysis, partner management, and more

Skills, Experience And Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university 2+ years of experience working in transportation with freight carriers (truckload and LTL) and/or parcel carriers 1+ years of data analysis experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment

Skills And Qualifications

Advanced skills and experience with Excel Prior experience maintaining TMS platforms Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to find opportunities for improving efficiency Ability to convey findings from complex data sets with use of easy to understand charts, graphs, and observations Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to department leadership and executives Ability to facilitate meetings with partners, stakeholder and leadership Familiarity with SQL and ability to write basic queries

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
