LOCATION: Howard City, MI

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. This opening is at the global headquarters for a manufacturer based in Rockford, MI. Some responsibilities may include

Customer Service - provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers.Access Control - Ensure anyone coming on site is authorized to be there.Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the building, keeping an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like

Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.Must be willing to become CPR/1 st Aide/AED CertifiedMust have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 yearsLess than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 yearsNo other major violations in the last 3 years.Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairsMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be readily able to respond to emergency situationsAbility to work independently with little or no supervision.
