About The Role
DNV's Energy Systems USA group is seeking an Energy Engineer to join its Business Energy Services Programs team. This position is designated to support major customer accounts, conduct energy audits, perform project inspections, provide customer education, manage projects, perform community outreach and develop energy efficiency contract proposals.
This position is based out of our Las Vegas, Nevada office.
What Youll Do
Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specificationsPerform customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment at utility commercial and industrial businessesDevelop request for proposals to support energy efficiency projectsInteract with customers to address questions or concerns about the installed equipment or program informationConduct facility walk-throughs to identify energy efficiency opportunities and generate a corresponding energy reportConduct community outreach including program presentations to inform customers of energy efficiency incentive offeringsProject management supportDatabase management supportWeekly, monthly, and annual reporting

What Is Required
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or similar disciplines is requiredMinimum of 5 years' experience in energy efficiency Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access An understanding of key application specific analytical tools including but not limited to data filtering, sorting and pivot tablesTechnical writing experienceWillingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the timeAbility to lift up to 40 pounds and climb up/down a ladderProactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordinglyA demonstrated positive, collaborative, and team-oriented attitudeExcellent communication (both verbal and written), focus on customer service, organization and grammar skills are essentialMust have a valid U.S. Drivers License and reliable transportationWe conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
