About The Role
DNV is looking for a candidate to join an energy efficiency program delivery team as an Outreach Specialist for Custom Projects.
This position will be based in our Portland, ME office.
What Youll Do
Engage with customers and contractors to drive program participation while answering questions regarding energy-savings opportunities, program services and offeringsCollaborate with the Delivery team and other colleagues, sharing knowledge and ideas in support of innovation and customer successWork with engineering team to develop and perform preliminary cost-effective and feasibility analysis for program eligibilityFoster relationships across various industries to maximize energy efficiency project implementation and sustain a robust pipeline to meet and exceed program participation goalsPromote energy efficiency opportunities through outreach activities including emails, phone calls, and site visitsAssist with developing program outreach strategy including customer and contractor recruitmentLead and/or support customer/contractor meetings and attend and participate in business networking, association and industry eventsProvide support for facility site walk throughs to identify energy efficiency opportunities and/or to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment as neededWork with facilities to gather and organize relevant information for application package developmentSupport other sales and business development activities as required, in support of program strategies and goalsProvide project management support and regular reporting

What is Required
Bachelors degree or higher in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related field highly preferredMinimum 3 years of experience in similar sales or business development position, with professional experience working with sales/outreach strategies to achieve growth goalsExperience working with energy efficiency or energy efficient products with a utility, government, non-profit, or public agency is preferredProven experience successfully meeting program goals, such as KPIsProven track record of translating technical messages for diverse audiencesStrong English communication skills (both written & verbal)Intermediate Excel skills including, pivot tables, simple look ups and graphing, as well as intermediate knowledge of MS Word and PowerPointMust live in the State of Maine and willing to travel throughout the state of MaineWe conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
