In Senior Project Manager, Solar Independent Engineering role, you will work on a variety of solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, work with the biggest developers and financiers in the space with cutting edge technology. The primary functions of these positions include supporting major customer accounts, performing project due diligence, managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback, and a bit of business development including developing proposals. Our teams work across all scales of projects, and depending on your experience and interest, you would focus on residential, distributed generation, or utility scale systems.

In this role, our team provides technical consulting and independent engineering services for solar project developers, financial institutions, and investors who rely on our reports as part of their investment decision making process.

What Youll Do

Initiate and coordinate the technical review process among internal specialists including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams, and synthesizing and writing due diligence reportsPerform overall project management activities and ensuring excellent customer communication as the key point of contact for the execution of due diligence engagementsPerform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines, as well as other reviews and analysis within your expertiseDiscuss and resolve complex technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialistsDevelop and win proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence workCoordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activitiesGuide customers through the financial closings of projectsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activitiesAdvance team and industry thought leadershipMentor other team member and guide them through the above tasksStrategic leadership including people resource planning, interpreting market trends, and developing service offeringsDevelop business through managing key client relationships, develop new customers, conference attendance and industry networking, and develop and win proposals for scopes of servicesSupport our mission and vision and having fun while you do it!

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and New York City Salary Transparency Law, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado or New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado and New York City, NY only, the range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 - $155,000.

Bachelors degree in an engineering, science, business, energy, or other related field is requiredMinimum 6 years of experience in the solar industryExcellent communication (verbal and written) and deft project and time management skills, including an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlinesFluent in MS OfficeSolution oriented thinking skills and high integrityStrong understanding of energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting systems/trackers, balance of system, etc.)Working knowledge of the solar project financing process (direct experience preferred)Supportive and proactive team member, eager to work in a collaborative environmentProven HSE mindset and demonstrated behavior-based safety mentalityWe conduct pre-employment background and drug screenings

What Is Preferred
