Job Description
This is multi position.
20 hours a week as SPED Teacher IEP & Assessment Specialist.
20 hours per week as SPED Teacher - Moderate Needs Interventionist
Combined for a total of 40 hours per week.
Position Specific Information (if Applicable)
SPED Teacher - IEP & Assessment Specialist
Responsible for the development, implementation coordination, and assessment of Individual Education Programs (IEP), as well as for the planning, developing and coordinating of special education services for exceptional needs students.
SPED Teacher - Moderate Needs Interventionist
Responsible for the provision of an individualized service delivery model that utilizes inclusive practices through a combination of special education support provided in and outside of the general classroom environment.

Bachelor's Degree - Special Education
Special Education Generalist License
Colorado Department of Education

Responsibilities
Responsible for all IEP related tasks and paperwork for compliance (except for progress monitoring and reporting). Oversee building level Enrich reports to monitor compliance. Maintain student special education records. Attend and facilitate IEP meetings to act as the IEP recorder/writer. Facilitate manifestation determination meetings and complete manifestation determination paperwork. Identify, coordinate, schedule, administer appropriate academic assessments and communicate and summarize results. Collaborate with Moderate Needs Interventionist in development of IEP. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Document health related services in designated Medicaid documentation system for the DCSD School Medicaid Reimbursement Program as assigned. May be required to travel within district boundaries. Coordinate and manage scheduling of all Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings including initials, reevaluations, annual reviews, special evaluations, amendments, transfer and matriculation meetings.

Hard to Hire
Licensed position salaries are set based on one of three salary schedules; General, Hard to Hire, and Specialist/Extremely Hard to Hire. DCSD will award up to 7 years of previous licensed teaching experience at the time of hire. Click HERE to view the current DCSD Licensed Salary Schedules*.
- All salary amounts listed on the schedules are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
