Business Analyst (Hybrid)

DPP is seeking a Business Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work Arrangement

Partially Onsite, 50% remoteW2 position; 12 months with a possibility of extension

Project scope

The child support services applications team is responsible for developing and maintaining applications in support of the child support services division including palmetto automated child support system, directory of new hires, and the portal application.

Responsibilities and duties

Review design documents and test functionality for defect resolutions and new enhancements based on approved design.Prepare test data, including interface data files as needed, for executing test scripts.Execute, record, and verify test results.Assist functional team by providing test results on requested functionality.Report defects to state test leadParticipate in functional design sessions.Perform Regression Tests manually and/or using selenium.Reproduce defects/demonstrate defects to development as needed.Participate in Help Desk, Incident Review Meetings as needed.Provide data analysis and root cause analysis for bugs and enhancements as needed.Query and monitor production data after each release

Organizational SkillsVerbal Communication SkillsWritten Communication SkillsAgileMS SQLTeam Foundation Server (TFS) 2013Experience in financial systems (AR, AP, payment reductions, general ledger postings and reporting, etc.);Claims Payment and Financial systemsBusiness Analysis experience to include data flow diagrams, requirements specifications, use case scenarios, and acceptance testing.Child Support Enforcement System (CSES)Financial5+ years’ experience preparing, documenting, and executing test criteria, test cases, test scripts, and test plans for IT systems projects2+ years’ experience testing on child support enforcement system development projectsThorough knowledge of testing concepts such as component testing, integration testing, security testing, performance testing, regression testing, acceptance testingExperience testing back-end batch processes and able to verify/handle the output data files. Ability to use SQL to query data.Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and review the work of the testing teamAbility to use MS office, SharePoint, and teams tools effectivelyAbility to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, customers/stakeholders (state and federal) and executives

Preferred KSAs

Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test ManagerUnderstanding of Agile or Iterative Software Development MethodologiesA strong understanding of the basics of financial operations, from receipts to disbursements to reconciliationExperience with SeleniumExperience with developing test scripts with Selenium
