Construction Manager

Summary

Arcadis DPS has immediate needs for experienced Construction Managers with mechanical experience to join our team in Albany, NY. As a Construction Manager with Arcadis DPS, you will report to the Director of Construction and work on exciting and innovative industrial construction projects in support of clients within the semiconductor, pharmaceutical or specialty chemical industries. You will act as a primary field point of contact related to large industrial construction projects and be responsible for delivering construction projects using multiple project delivery and execution strategies.

Candidates with a successful track record of field supervision roles and successful project delivery related to industrial advanced technology or life science are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Delivering construction projects using multiple project delivery and execution strategies.Contributing to the preparation of design and construction documents.Ensuring market pricing and direct suppliers.Planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to building and facilities construction projects.Development of contracting strategy, project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, quality, and change controls.Assuring accuracy of financial forecasts with tie-in to project schedules.Incident investigation, safety training and project assessments.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. Non-degree professionals with significant direct construction management experience in semiconductor or pharmaceutical industry will be considered.Ability to communicate well with stakeholders and other professionals.Work effectively across disciplines in a team setting and fast-paced environment.Readily adapt as changes are made.Looks for creative and innovative solutions to assigned projects, brings real world perspective and drives improvements to processes.Ability to manage the scope, schedule and budget on projects assigned. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously a plus.Professional registration and/or PMP certification preferred.3-5 years in the execution of full Project Life Cycle.Technical skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.Specific knowledge of semiconductor industry or other clean environment industries (pharmaceutical or solar) is a plus.Local candidates preferred. Consideration given to candidates willing to relocate to Albany, NY.Ability to provide valid work authorization for US employment
