Labor Foreman

Must champion and provide leadership, which results in a safe work culture. Is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under his/her direction.Knows, understands and communicates PRINCE safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safetyEnsures timely responses, actions and corrections to any safety issueCoordinates crews and is accountable for the efficient organization of crewsAssesses competency and capability of employees on the project, and evaluates the capabilities of the crew membersFacilitates training and coaching to ensure a high standard of excellenceRecognizes and addresses issue/problems that may arise among crew members and provides effective resolutionsUnderstands and consistently applies the policies and procedures of PRINCEIs involved and supportive of any day to day disciplinary decisions and those additional discipline actions deemed appropriate by PRINCEAccountable for following project plans and schedules, ensuring that crews perform activities to meet production goalsIdentifies needs and deficiencies in the schedule and communicates these to the appropriate individualsTranslates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each crewReviews and adjusts specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production schedulesIdentifies, verifies and reports any scheduling conflicts with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate individualsAccountable for the preparation of reports as required by PRINCEApproves material requisitionsAccurately, and in a timely manner, reports time worked for crew membersRecommends employment actions such as hiring, promotions and corrective action

Knowledge of project construction scope and objectivesCommitment to and knowledge of Company and project safety programs and objectivesAble to read drawings and interpret specifications for the projectStrong knowledge of scheduling and planningAbility to lead crews in a productive mannerPossess excellent communication skillsEffective interpersonal skills; able to apply effective problem solving and conflict resolution skillsPossess excellent time management skillsWork is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat, including occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. In addition, all work is performed near moving machinery and/or vehicles.
