About The Role

The Software Development Engineer will work with our Core Trade engineering team in our Institutional Broker Dealer. You’ll work in a dynamic and productive team building out an Ultra High Throughput and low latency trading system and the tools needed to run it to democratize investing globally! You’ll work with leading technologies to re-engineer our mission-critical trading stack to be industrial grade. We aim to utilize our fintech prowess and our exchange memberships, to deliver internet-scale trading applications to the floor of the exchanges. You’ll be hands-on working across our Institutional team, working directly with the business, Quants, and our Trade Desk. The proper candidate will have experience building applications and working in a highly-available and scalable environment. We seek someone that has an exceptional attention to detail and values simplicity over complexity - both in code and communication. You should be opinionated about what you build and offer constructive criticism on things you didn’t.

What You'll Do

Responsible for working with multiple stakeholders, including Trade desks, Quants, Product managers, Risk, and ComplianceResponsible for the technical design and delivery of new React/Typescript frontend, Java backend projects Ensure that solutions are meeting DriveWealth best practices in design and architectureCollaborate with other team leaders in design and integrationWork with the Broker Dealer Operations and Compliance teams to support and enhance the trading systemSet goals with your team and collaborate in setting organizational goalsPartner with business and technical leadership to imagine, develop, test, and launch web applicationsBe willing to investigate and explore business needs

What You'll Need

3+ years experience withTypescript and a solid understanding of modern JavaScript features found in ES8+Experience with React, TypeScript, WebSockets, RxJs, and/or other related technologiesStrong understanding of unit testing React applications with React Testing Library or a similar toolFamiliar with end to end testing using tools such as Playwright or CypressExperience in agile software development and production deploymentDetail and results oriented with excellent problem solving abilities.Passion for developing scalable, well-designed software Ability to leverage experience to collaborate on UI design solutionsAbility to collaborate horizontally and cross-functionally throughout DriveWealthExperience with a 24x7, highly-available architectureStrong technical writing skillsStrong verbal communication skills. Compensation

Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.

New York, NY (Hybrid) Pay Range

$160,000—$175,000 USD
