Civil or Environmental Engineering Professional

Drummond Carpenter is expanding, and we are looking for a talented Civil or Environmental Engineering Professional to manage our growing western Pennsylvania operations. This person will operate in a sell/manage/do mode while being supported by Drummond Carpenter’s senior professionals to advance to the next stage of their career. Ideal candidates will excel at providing innovative civil and environmental engineering solutions to assist our municipal, state, and federal clients in areas such as stormwater management, utility master planning, infrastructure design, green infrastructure, watershed management, and environmental permitting.

Founded in 2016, Drummond Carpenter is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) with five areas of practice: civil and water resources engineering, green infrastructure and sustainability, environmental modeling, environmental assessment and remediation, and nuclear disposal and storage. Drummond Carpenter is a leader in developing solutions to many of our country’s toughest environmental challenges that impact the health and safety of communities and the natural environment. While we are headquartered in Florida, our projects are nationwide and we are active in the Pittsburgh area market having collaborated on numerous projects for City of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority (PWSA), ALCOSAN, and PA Department of General Services (DGS). The growing demand for SDVOSB firms amongst our Pennsylvania clients, and our existing western Pennsylvania experience, puts Drummond Carpenter in an excellent position to see rapid success in this exciting market.

POSITION ACTIVITIESSome of the key responsibilities for the experienced engineer are listed below. It is not a requirement to have experience in each category, but to be a motivated individual willing to expand your competences and leverage complimentary corporate skills.Civil site design and analyses;o Water and/or wastewater treatment plant design, modeling, and operation;o Water and/or wastewater distribution pipe network modeling and design including pump stations;Urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;o Technical document, regulatory report, and permit preparation;Overseeing the development of construction documents and construction oversight and administration;Field investigations; ando Network with engineering consulting companies and municipal utilities with a goal of forming and enhancing partnerships.You will be given the opportunity to become a leader in the civil and environmental consulting industry. EDUCATION AND LICENSUREBachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related discipline. (required)Professional registration or certification in the field (e.g., PE, CFM, CPESC, LEED AP, PMP, etc.) (preferred) Advanced degree in civil or environmental engineering or management or closely related discipline. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSFive or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of post-graduate education and experience. (preferred)Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
