Maintenance Lead

Oversees the Maintenance team in installation and repair of machinery, facilities upkeep, and light electrical work.Skills and Qualifications Needed:The Maintenance Team Leader leads the maintenance team responsible for repair of electrical; plumbing; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); carpentry; painting; and other building systems. The team leader oversees employees, budgets, and coordinates repair with the production team to minimize equipment downtime. The lead person schedules and oversees external contractors for needed services in the facility.Excellent problem‐solving skills and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, and pneumatics are crucial to this role. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as you’ll have to stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.Maintenance Lead Job Requirements:• Coordinate preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.• Detect malfunctions through observation and testing.• Direct maintenance personnel in daily duties.• Orders replacements for broken or faulty machine parts.• Perform emergency repairs.• Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.• Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, light electrical and mechanics.• Familiarity using various power and hand tools.• In‐depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.• Knowledge of industrial control systems.• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.• Excellent troubleshooting skills.• Basic computer and report writing skills.• Good communication skills.• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.• Good time‐management skills.• Oversees department budget and reports to Facility manager.
