The Cash Applications Specialist will be responsible for performing all functions associated with high volume cash application in accordance with the Accounts Receivable Department goals and objectives.

Responsibilities of the Cash Applications Specialist include, but are not limited to

Perform general cash posting tasks to ensure same day clearing and posting of all lockbox and ACH paymentsManages exception tasks for payments requiring manual applicationProcess credit card requests sent by the field or customer after invoicingReconcile bank transaction report with customer’s account based on received remittance and deposit detail informationPerform daily scan deposit of all checks not sent to lockbox and work with customer to update banking informationWork directly with customer and credit analyst to research and resolve unapplied or unidentified paymentsServes as backup to Sr. Cash Specialist for all approved adjustments to customer accountsMonitors team queue and processes adjustments, refunds, and general item offset requestsHandles other duties and tasks as assigned by Cash Applications Manager

Qualifications of the Cash Applications Specialist include, but are not limited to

High School diploma and 2-5 years of equivalent experience in cash applications role preferredExperience with payment posting and adjustment process in various ERP systems (P21/Syteline a plus)Basic Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup/pivot tables/power queries)Ability to multi-task with direct emphasis on posting accuracyIntermediate understanding of account reconciliations and daily posting tie outsExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levelsTakes initiative to deliver on results in acceptable period of timeSelf-starter who works well independently and part of a teamExperience with Salesforce is a plusDirect experience with High Radius or other cash posting cloud automation tools is preferred but not required
