Responsibilities of the Safety Technician include, but are not limited to
Maintain a safe work environment while working for customersSite safety supervisionRig up and Rig down H2S equipmentService and repair breathing air equipmentService and repair fire extinguishersService and repair personal and rig monitor equipmentHigh angle and confined space rescue training
Qualifications of the Safety Technician include, but are not limited to
Confined spaceHigh Angle rope rescueHot work and permittingMulti-gas monitorsAll aspects of job safetyAcceptable driving recordClass B Texas Fire Extinguisher license or ability to obtainAll "New Hires" are subject to a 90 day evaluation period
Physical Demand: Able to lift 50 lbs.
Working Conditions: Ability to work in an industrial environment, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity. Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Training/Certifications: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Safety regulations in the oilfield. Must be able to obtain a Texas fire extinguishers license.
Shift Time/Overtime: Ability to work 24 hours on call schedule with some weekends and overtime required
Travel: Limited to area wide service. Primarily Permian Basin with occasional national travel required.
Education: High school diploma or GED
