About the Role

e.l.f. Beauty is actively seeking a Product Development Intern to support the product development team for e.l.f. color. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Product Development. In this role you, will be supporting multiple aspects of the development process and gain experience in all areas such as competitive benchmarking, evaluating concepts, and shade development, researching upcoming trends and ingredient stories. This internship will be hands-on and require passion and love for all things beauty!

Responsibilities

Sample organization, labeling, and gathering feedback from team membersShip products domestically and internationallyBrainstorm new product conceptsSupport sampling and distribution for internal needsMaintain physical library of product samples, tools, packaging and benchmarksBecome familiar with our project management system, track and post updates as requestedResearch upcoming trends and ingredient stories, listen to beauty podcasts and read industry publicationsAttend and contribute to weekly PD and Innovation meetingsKeep innovation room organized, tidy and stockedCreate, organize and manage development file folders and cabinetsCreate and update Product Development SOP’sAssist in bi-weekly industry launch and trend review and competitive analysisSupport shade development, shade matching and sourcingCreate swatch sheetsResearch trending products, ingredients and keeping up with the beauty industry.Conduct research in product/ingredientHelp test product and gather product feedback.Formula feedback loop and tracking

Requirements

Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven Full competency of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerpointComfortable working in a collaborative manner and a highly creative out-of-the-box thinker Works well individually and in a team environment to achieve results that move the business forwardMust be self-motivated and be capable of multi-taskingCommitment to accuracy, attention to detail and quality of information generatedPrior internships/experience in marketing, innovation, product development preferredUnderstanding of current fashion, beauty, design and digital trends
