This essential role is tailored for a finance professional with extensive experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis. The Manager of FP&A will spearhead the financial planning and analysis operations, offering strategic insights to facilitate decision-making and propel business growth. This position is remote, complemented by hybrid travel requirements to the corporate headquarters each quarter.
Role Summary:The Manager of FP&A will oversee the company's financial planning and analysis functions, including the orchestration of budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support to enhance strategic decision-making. The role demands effective collaboration with senior management to develop financial models, perform variance analyses, and deliver strategic insights that drive the financial and operational strategies of the company.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes, ensuring precision, timeliness, and strategic alignment.Create and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decisions on strategic initiatives, capital investments, and operational enhancements.Perform comprehensive financial analyses, including variance and trend analyses, evaluating financial performance against key business metrics.Offer actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on meticulous financial analysis and projections.Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, encompassing executive dashboards and detailed financial analyses.Work closely with business unit leaders to pinpoint financial opportunities and challenges, aiding in the attainment of their financial goals.Direct special projects aimed at financial systems enhancements, process optimization, and other initiatives to boost the FP&A function's efficiency and impact.Supervise and develop a team of financial analysts, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) strongly preferred.At least 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with demonstrated success in guiding budgeting and forecasting activities and providing strategic financial insights.Expertise in analytical and financial modeling skills, proficient in Excel and financial planning software.Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, adept at explaining complex financial information to non-financial audiences.Proven leadership qualities, with experience in team management and cross-functional collaboration.Capability to operate independently in a remote setting, with exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks.Preparedness to travel to the corporate headquarters quarterly for strategic engagements and team collaboration.Compensation:Base salary: $120,000 to $140,000, based on experience and qualifications.Bonus: 15% of base salary, contingent on company and individual performance metrics.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, and generous vacation and personal leave policies.
