QUALIFICATIONS
must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, social work, or a related field. A Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) required. Early childhood and/or ESL endorsement(s) preferred.quality work through accuracy and attention to detail.to continuous improvement and data based decision-making.written, verbal and technology based communication skills.effectively and productively as a member of a team.to work with a linguistically and culturally diverse public.knowledge and understanding of child growth and development.(English/Spanish) preferred.be required to travel to more than one building.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize child find screenings and recruitment for all birth to five programs.Schedule screening appointments, maintain screening files, and ensure all data is collected.Responsible for the coordination and collection of all early childhood entry screening documents from incoming preschool and Jumpstart families, including language and developmental assessments, parent interviews, income verification, and collection of health records.Organize and enter all data into student information system. Report all screening activities to placement coordinator and director.Support families with the District registration process and entry into school.Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or in self-selected professional growth activities.Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, student data, equipment, materials and facilities.Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by the Director or designee.
