Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is instrumental in optimizing the return on financial assets by establishing robust financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. The CFO will also oversee all functions within the Accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance on financial decisions through the development and enforcement of policies and procedures.Safeguard company assets by implementing and monitoring internal controls.Monitor financial condition through audits and liaison with external auditors.Prepare comprehensive budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to achieve budget objectives.Present timely and accurate financial reports, interpreting data and identifying trends.Prepare specialized reports summarizing financial information and trends.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, staying abreast of legislative changes.Lead and mentor financial staff, fostering professional development and performance excellence.Maintain confidentiality of financial information and plans.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerks.

Qualifications

Prior relevant experience in manufacturingProficient in managing financial processes and utilizing financial software.Strong ability to develop and implement standards and procedures.Experience in audit, accounting, and corporate finance.Skilled in tracking budget expenses and analyzing financial information.Demonstrated capability in developing budgets and performance management.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration. Master’s degree preferred.Eight or more years of advanced-level experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.CPA qualification preferred but not required.
