Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer (7945) Responsibilities:Participates in new business opportunities by evaluating customer requirements and developing gaging strategies within budgetary constraints.Leads the development of strategies and quality documentation for new product launches, ensuring adherence to standards and incorporating lessons learned from past projects.Assists in the development of APQP documentation and conducts process capability studies to ensure stable and robust manufacturing processes.Supports problem-solving efforts during the launch phase and facilitates the New Product Review process.Maintains and improves the plant's quality system, including developing procedures, conducting audits, and training personnel.Engages with customers and suppliers on quality issues, implements corrective actions, and supports lean manufacturing initiatives.Provides expertise in statistical methods, SPC, and inspection tools, and contributes to a positive work environment through professional conduct and collaboration.Monitors customer feedback and communicates trends to management for review.Leads and trains teams in strategies and quality plans, providing guidance and instruction to operations and site quality employees.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.Comprehensive training in Statistical Process Control techniques, including thorough understanding and practical application of methodologies for analyzing and improving processes. Successful completion of a course in reading blueprints, which includes understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances.Proficient in quality control practices, statistical methods, and mathematics including statistics, trigonometry, solid geometry, and algebra.Proficient in Gage R&R methodologies and SQC Pack, ensuring measurement system reliability and accuracy in manufacturing and quality assurance.Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) - Preferred
